Five long years ago I began a part time job in the fragrance hall of a famous Dublin department store, Brown Thomas. Before this, I didn't even know what EDT stood for. For the next year I continued to work there, exploring all the different brands and colognes until in 2004 I was approached by Estée Lauder to become an associate for them. This meant aswell as promoting their fragrances - some of the most famous in the world - they would also train me in skincare and all the other aspects of a cosmetics company.

And that's exactly what happened. Aswell as Lauder, I worked with and became familiar with many other cosmetic brands including Giorgio Armani, Christian Dior, Molton Brown, Jo Malone, Shiseido and Calvin Klein to name but a few. In fact, you name a company - I can almost guarantee I worked with them at some stage. And thus, I began to develop my own understanding of skincare and fragrance that's lead me to where I am today.

Next came ~H2O+ cosmetics, and I was head-hunted to join the initial team that introduced the brand to Ireland from America. During my time with ~H2O+ I was fortunate enough to visit their HQ in Chicago, and see for myself exactly where the products came from what did go in to the production side of a cosmetics company.

Before long though I was back with Estée Lauder as an assistant manager for one of their flagship stores in Dublin. This lead to fun times and a hunger to see more... and with that I packed up and moved to Belfast, where I still remain today. At just 20 years old, I was one of youngest people to achieve the position of Account Manager within the company, and certainly one of the only men to ever do so.

So believe me when I say I have a fair understanding of how the world of men's grooming goes. I know the secrets, I know the lies... And I want to help more men understand that proper grooming isn't just reserved for women, because it's not hard, it doesn't take a lot of effort or money - and you will look better and feel better with a little help from me. I won't talk you in circles and promise to keep it simple and jargon-free, starting from the bare basics of grooming that a lot of people take for granted!

Stay tuned for advice and updates, coming soon...
